Echinacea is a perennial native to the northeastern United States. t is cooling, immuno-stimulating, and actively anti-bacterial and anti-microbial. Echinacea was used extensively by First Nations people in cases of tooth abcess and gum disease. Plains tribes, such as the Cheyenne, Comanches, Kiowa, and Teton Sioux, all used Echinacea root widely for infectious diseases and to promote the healing of wounds.
Echinacea is known to support the body in recovering from venomous bites (bees, snakes, spiders), as well as recovering from most types of infections.
Echinacea should be used with care in people whose immune systems are chronically overstimulated (autoimmune disease, asthma, etc) since this plant is stimulating to the immune system.
This tincture is made with fresh roots and leaves of the Echinacea augustifolia plant.
